The Makita/Wynns team have not stopped working since the end of the season and have made good progress on building the new car for 2010/11 season. We had a mad rush to get the car looking as finished as possible as it had to go on display at Katipo Blocks for a group of AUT students who are studying engineering.  It’s painted and signwritten with the engine in but no plumbing etc has been done. The car is now back in our workshop for us to strip down and put it all together properly. It’s great to be this far ahead of the game so early in the winter as it’s never fun to be rushing to finish the car right before the season starts.

We are currently waiting on some parts from the South Island and Australia which are due to arrive this week which will enable us to really get going with finishing the car. Everyone in the team is looking forward to the coming season and excited about the package we are putting together to run with. Below are a few progress shots as we have been working away over the past few weeks.
