The makita/Wynns team hauled down to Palmerston North last Friday to contest the next round of the International Sprintcar Series only to be rained out hours before the meeting was due to start. The weather had been brilliant all day then one heavy shower just killed the track and with another shower in the forecast to come. Bruce and Puk who run the speedway had to make the tough call to can the meeting. They rescheduled the show for this Saturday, so us with a lot of other teams left our race car trailers in the Robertson Isuzu lock-up ready for next weekend. I must say we have had a good run in terms of rain outs over the last couple of seasons so occasionally you have to take one on the chin. We will shoot down early Saturday morning in the tow rig then pick up our trailer ready for battle later that night. Fingers crossed for some sunshine!
